Rachael is one of those people that you just love from the moment you talk to her. Our initial phone call started off with a conversation about dogs for 10 minutes, before we even talked about her wedding at all! To our credit, she was having her dog, Hunter, as the "Best Dog" in the wedding. Music to my ears. Rachael and Ray got married at Aspen Hall in Shevlin Park in Bend. From the very beginning, Rachael said "I don't care how cold it is, I want to get married outside with a really short ceremony." Unfortunately, we started looking at the 10-day forecast and it called for rain on their wedding day...up until the morning of her wedding when it finally changed to sunny and pretty warm!

The ceremony was highlighted by our arch completely covered with eucalyptus, blush and cream roses. Her "Flower Woman" drove up from the Bay Area immediately after visiting the San Francisco flower market and created the most beautiful garlands for all of the reception tables. The Best Dog" knocked it out of the park during his walk down the aisle.

The reception kicked off with the most light-hearted place cards,  gold-painted dinosaurs filled with succulents. All of the guests enjoyed lining up their dinosaurs and taking photos with them throughout the night. Guests drank beer and a ginger ale mixer brewed by Ray and his dad, while  80's music filled the hall for an epic dance party that went late into the winter night. Click to see full images.
